There’s also a restaurant that overlooks the water and offers casual dining, another restaurant offering elegant dining, and The Beach Bar featuring island-style cuisine. The oldest bar in Key West, The Chart Room, is a popular spot and is also the place where Jimmy Buffest played back in the day. We loved sitting on the deck and watching the water and boats passing by. We appreciated that we were both right at the hub of Key West, and that Pier House felt cozy and separate from the hubbub. The resort was gorgeous--the landscaping was lush and beautiful.

It’s adjacent to Sunset Pier and only minutes from Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square. Ernest Hemingway's hangout Sloppy Joe's and Key West Aquarium are also within a short walk. For added convenience, there’s a CVS across the street as well as restaurants, shops, and bars that surround the hotel. Staying in Old Town is great because you can walk to many activities, sites, shopping, and restaurants. But if you are not walking distance from someplace that you would like to visit, you can always take a taxi which makes life very simple and your vacation care free. Caribbean Spa Rooms are located in the spa building and some of the most spacious in the hotel.
Harbour View Rooms overlook the Gulf of Mexico and have a private patio or balcony as well as your choice of one king or two queen beds. The Pier House Resort offers several styles of rooms and suites, all reflecting a traditional island style. When booking more than 9 rooms, different policies and additional supplements may apply. This property was highly rated for its very comfy beds. Breakfast, location, beach, pool all wonderful, but the couples massage at the spa was amazing. You are also close to some great restaurants like Bagatelle, A&B Lobster House, and the Boat House.

Awell-stocked fitness center and ample event spaces are on hand as well. Theoldest bar in Key West is also here and the proximity to Sunset Pier means guests can watch the sun go down in style. The upgraded spa at Pier House is the only full-service options on the island. It offers a steam room, hot tub, a variety of treatments, and salon service. Attached to the spa is a fitness center with all workout necessities, and outdoors is the pool, the ultimate cool-off spot. Weddings, conferences, meetings, and receptions are often held in the 2,600 square feet of event space at the hotel.

We are sure that the view from the hotel is beautiful when the sun sets, but we still went a few steps to the pier. There are turtle/koi ponds interspersed with tropical vegetation andbrick pathways leading guests to the different areas of the hotel. Common spacesare open and airy with skylights offering lots of natural light, giving the property a bright feel.

You will want for nothing while staying here! And, the Caribbean Spa is the nicest on the island offering body treatments, facials, massages, and hair, nail, and make up services. When I need pampering, this is my go to spot. When my sister Amy visits, this is a stop for us. For added wellness, visit the on-site fitness centre.Savor fresh seafood and classic dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner at the One Duval or sample cocktails near the seaside at Beach Bar. Roomsare simple and comfy with premium bedding, rain-style showers, flat-screen TVs,mini-fridges, and free Wi-Fi; some have balconies and exquisite views.
Would have preferred a higher floor although must admit access was easy as we did not have to wait for elevators. Right next to Malory Square and all the action on Duval. We were close to where we got on our boating excursion and our concert venue.

Elegant dining is available in the hotel's One Duval restaurant, offeringlocal organic fare for dinner and a delicious Key lime Pie. The Chart Room --the oldest bar in Key West and where Jimmy Buffet played back in the day -- is filled with marine charts and nautical charm.

I was traveling w my adult daughter this time and wanted to stay somewhere safe and private and clean and I knew I could count on Pier House.
